Macro Risk Analyzer Lite ("the extension") is a browser extension that shows a risk and quality score for a stock ticker you select on a web page. This policy explains exactly what it does and does not do with data.
Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. We, the developers, never receive any data from your use of the extension.
When you right-click a stock ticker and choose “Analyze … risk”, the extension sends only that ticker symbol directly from your browser to two public financial data sources in order to compute the score:
These requests are made from your own browser. The resulting score is displayed on the page and is not saved anywhere. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own privacy policies.
The extension does not use browser storage, cookies of its own, or any remote database. Nothing about your activity persists after the results card is closed.
The extension requests only the permissions required to add the right-click menu and show the results card on the page you are viewing, plus access to the Yahoo Finance and FRED domains listed above. It cannot read or access any other website.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL.
